It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – Having Fun with the Helios 44-M-4 Lens

Helios 44_M Lens

(For the photography inclined (ie…geeks), this photo was taken with the Manual Focus Helios 44-M-4 lens.  Love the swirls this lens produces!)

Except it’s not.  Where was this weather in December, when we really need it?!? What’s Christmas without a little bit of snow?! Well it is the birth of Christ, so snow or no snow Christmas rocks.  I was beginning to think we wouldn’t have snow this year, and although I am NOT a fan of snow, it did worry me.  With TV reporters and Radio announcers screaming “Global warming” warnings, it’s hard to get excited about NO snow.  So I prayed for snow, and I’m not saying I caused it, but here it is.  SNOW…and what do you do when there is snow outside?? You take the only members of your family who are willing to be photographed, outside for some fun and frolick in the wintery white cold!

The top photo, that’s Maxie…or as we call her around here, “The Smack!”  She’s giving you “The Smack” brush off, dog-style!

Meet Toby…He hates the cold almost as much as I do.

Here’s Gizmo our winter house guest.  He stays with us while his parents roam around warmer territory (namely Florida).

Admittedly our house is a zoo…but if it weren’t a zoo, who would I have to photograph in the cold months? My kids??!?!? HAHAHA…that almost made me fall of of my chair from how outrageous that sounded!

Babies by the Dozen

A blast from the past: Sean & Ashley.  Who will probably grace my blog again soon! As they prepare for the birth of TWINS!  WOW!! Seems to be quite a bit of that going around!

Happy Saturday – CN Tower Engagement Photography

Well, once again it’s a day colder then the day before it. But that doesn’t stop a wedding from happening. Brides are like the mailman…rain, sleet, snow, hail, the show must go on. And photographers are the same. We have to traipse through the extreme to ensure we are on time and ready to go. Weather simply can’t hold us back.  So photographers are somewhat like mailmen (Mail carriers), the show must go on.  And on it does.  But probably like them, we crave the warmer spring months.  Where we can take our couples to the beach for a photoshoot, or hang out at the pier or docks, stand them in a mountain of grass, and shoot shoot shoot! So in honour of those months…
