You can plan and dream and plan and dream about the ideal location for months…but if mother nature doesn’t want to cooperate, then lemonade must be made out of lemons. Well, I guess traveling to the Toronto Islands (Centre Island) should never be compared to lemons. There is always lots to do and lots to see no matter how THICK the fog is! On this day it was exceptionally thick, and we even joked around as we walked that you could definitely film a horror movie on the island with that kind of fog. Ashley and Cody didn’t let that deter them though from having a great engagement session.

Just want to give the biggest thanks to you Elaine. You truly hit the nail on the head with these amazing photos. I am not going to lie leading up to the photos I was absolutely devastated that the fog was so thick but as soon as the shoot started Elaine you helped us relax and have fun with it. The result is fabulous and we are beyond pleased with these photos and can’t wait to see the rest of the shoot. You truly captured what engagement photos are all about… the love of two people. Looking forward to working with you again on our most special day.

Monte Carlo Inn Engagement Party |Mathew & Neethi

From the engagement session (see it here if you missed it: Neethi & Mathew Engagement session) to the engagement party the next day, Neethi and Mathew and their families really put on a great event. I had never been to the Monte Carlo Inn in Markham and wasn’t sure what to expect, but from the fields out the back to the decor in the reception hall and the food and beverages, The Monte Carlo Inn did an absolutely fantastic job for the Engagement Party! I think everyone enjoyed every bit of it, from the dancing to the singing to Mathew getting down on one knee as he presented Neethi with the official engagement ring, it was a wonderful night! But before any of that happened, we had a little fun outdoors.

Main Street Unionville Engagement | Neethi & Mathew

What a whirlwind weekend this was, not for me, but for Mathew and Neethi and their families. Mathew fresh off the plane from the Netherlands, with his family meeting him here from Ireland, Neethi and Mathew were having their Engagement Party on the Saturday. But well, what’s an engagement party without an engagement session!?!? So before they could get to the party, they had to NAIL the engagement session first. So off we went to Main Street Unionville for some engaegement photography, where we battled directions, the harsh sun and maybe a bit of jet lag. All in all, a fun time and good prep for the day after. (Engagement Party – Coming soon to the blog!)

And well what’s an engagement session – with the wedding headed for Ireland – without a Pub making an appearance?!?!
