Columbus Event Centre Wedding – Third Time’s A Charm

Columbus Event Centre

  1. Get engaged, pick a wedding date, plan wedding, send out invitations, book vendors for said wedding, book a hall – Columbus Event Centre, buy dresses, get excited.
  2. Covid. Reverse. Postpone wedding, call vendors hoping to reschedule, pick another date, call Columbus Event Centre to see if new date is available, shorten wedding attendee guest list drastically, humbly make calls to those family/friends who unfortunately have to be cut from the guest list.
  3. Covid again/still . Postpone wedding again, call vendors again, pick another date again, call wedding attendee guest list and cut some more players, buy different dresses because people change within 2 years. (ie flower girl grew!) Pray that the third time is a charm and wedding can actually go off without a hitch.

It does.

In the first week of October, Ian and Sally FINALLY said their “I Do’s”. Surrounded by their family and friends, outside in fantastic fall weather, Ian and Sally may not have had the wedding they had originally planned but regardless they had a wedding of fun, laughter, happiness and love. I can now say congratulations to the happy couple! It’s been a long time coming!

Anya & Rocco – Backyard Wedding

As far as photographing weddings go, it’s been awhile! Feels like forever. But it was well worth the wait. Under a beautiful array of colourful string lanterns, in their gorgeous backyard, Anya and Rocco said I do. Their wedding was followed up by a sparkler exit and bonfire. Intimate is always better and Anya and Rocco nailed it! Congrats to you both.

Vaishakhi and Varun – Liuna Gardens Wedding

Vaishakhi and Varun…the wedding that wasn’t…then WAS!! As luck(?) would have it, Vaishakhi and Varun were scheduled to be married in July. And then, BAM, pandemic strikes, and weddings have to be cancelled. All brides and grooms scheduled to be married go into panic mode. I don’t blame them. All that planning and excitement and anticipation. Gone. Poof. With no indication of when things can go back to some normality.

Then the word gets out that gatherings are allowed, we can socialize more, weddings are allowed to be had outdoors and all of this rule making happens to coincide with the month that Vaishakhi and Varun wanted to get married in in the first place. Different date, but same timeframe. So why not. The plans may have changed, but the couple hadn’t. So why not go for it?? And they did. In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, Vaishakhi and Varun declared their love for each other and I’ve never seen a couple happier then they were on this day!
