Columbus Event Centre, Toronto : Mike & Mary

Columbus Event Centre – Toronto Wedding Photography

Mike & Mary:

“Hamilton is where our love began to grow

Weekends then became Burlington

and Richmond Hill to and fro

However, our favourite city will always be

where we decided this was forever,

City of Toronto, nothing will compare…ever!”

Mary even before she put on her wedding dress looked beautiful and ready to get married!

Poor Didi wanted to get in with the girls and get ready herself!

Didi’s turn to get ready and take her candid photos! Nailed it! 🙂

Then it was off to see the boys…

Then back to the girls  for what I find to be one of the best parts of the day, the moment the bride puts on her dress.  Mary looked stunning.   She looked like a Greek goddess.  Her dress was so different, unlike anything I’ve seen before and that’s what made it even more beautiful!

We travelled to Allan Gardens where Mary & Mike would have their first-look (this is when the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony). Had to distract Mike with some other photos while Mary came up behind him to surprise him!

LOVE…

Another favourite time of the day for me is when the bride and groom get to spend some time just enjoying each other’s company.  Their isn’t much “alone” time at a wedding so that’s why a first-look is such a great thing.  You get that moment of just seeing each other for the first time and taking it all in.

The ceremony was held at the Columbus Event Centre.  I have to tell you, from the outside, it doesn’t look like a place you would think “wedding”, but WOW, the inside is stunning, with all of the art work and statues.  Really a great location for your wedding if you’re looking for just the right place!

The details at the reception were incredible! The cake…or the donuts…or the donut-cake was a show-stopper! Really, another first for me! *wait til you see it! And instead of a picture of the couple to be signed, Mary & Mike used a map of Toronto. Another FIRST! I love when my couples get creative.  Seriously!! (That’s how to get your wedding published.)

Mary & Mike, Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your special day!

My engagement sessions almost always include a horse back ride courtesy of the Toronto Police…I aim to please! 🙂 (Ok my sessions NEVER include that, but on this day we were very lucky that a really nice police officer came our way, recognized we were celebrating Ryan and Kelly’s engagement and allowed them the opportunity to ride on his horse).

Just a day in the life!

Ryan & Kelly Thank you so much for braving the storm, braving Graffiti Alley and all of its police traffic!  I hope you love your photos as much as I do!
