Caroline & Kevin – Toronto Engagement Session

I drove into Toronto for an engagement session as I always do, thinking about what shots to get, did I remember all my gear? What will the lighting be like (I have to admit the sky was pretty dreary).  As soon as I wandered into the house of Caroline & Kevin, I couldn’t help but marvel at his cuteness.  Oh my, that smile, how he pulled me in with his giggles and laughter.  I was instantly smitten.  Who wouldn’t be? Those eyes, filled with sweet, innocent laughter and joy.  The sign of a home filled with love…

Told you he was a cutie!! He’s not the groom but he’s definitely in the wedding party, big blue eyes and all! He just got his suit the other day in preparation for the BIG DAY…

And here are the Bride & Groom to be:

Meet Caroline, the wonderful, gorgeous, sweet mother of this fantastic little boy:

Meet Kevin, the groom to be:

We had a blast walking around taking photographs, trying to make the session as romantic as possible, while all of this was going on:

I think in one of these photos Kevin is actually pointing at me trying to blame me for it all!! 🙂  But really, it was a JOY to watch the three of them interact, and just “being”, if that makes sense.  The way love should be, and definitely the way it is in Kevin & Caroline’s house.

And my fave image of the day, has to be this next one and not because it is wickedly backlit and sun-kissed like crazy (love that type of lighting!) but because it represents who Kevin & Caroline are as a couple, and will be soon as a family.   Love it…

Kevin, Caroline & little Mr. T, thank you so much for sharing a piece of your world with me and allowing me to photograph it.  I felt that this was much more then an engagement session, it was a lifestyle session that speaks volumes about you guys! Truly an honor! Can’t wait to photograph your special day!

Jeremy & Lesley – High Park & Rooftop Engagement Session – Toronto Wedding Photographer

She asked her friend, the bride-to-be, if there were going to be any good looking, single men in the bridal party.  Her friend told her, yes indeed, there would be.  His name, Jeremy.

He asked his friend, the groom-to-be, if there were going to be any HOT chiquita’s in the bridal party.  Ok maybe, it was more like, any beautiful, nice women in the bridal party.  Yes, indeed there would be, Lesley.

They both looked forward to the wedding day of their friend, hoping to finally meet each other.  When the rehearsal day finally came and they laid eyes on each other, Jeremy was quick to retreat.  He didn’t want to seem to anxious.  So he laid low that first meeting,  trying to steer Lesley away from what he really thought…”WOWZERS!!”  Jeremy was from out of town, so he couldn’t play hard to get for too long, so he called off his first thoughts of playing hard to get, and went for it.  It was a long distance romance for awhile, she flew out to see him.  He would come here.  Jeremy quickly realized that in order to secure his spot in Lesley’s heart he needed to make the move back home to Toronto.  And so he did.  Now Jeremy & Lesley are engaged and getting married at Niagara-on-the-Lake in September.  They both love wine and touring wineries.  So we decided to make that a part of their engagement session as well!

Meet GORGEOUS Lesley:

Wedding and Engagement Photography, Toronto & GTA, International & Destination Wedding Photographer

Jeremy you are one smart guy, cause Lesley, looking as Hot as she is here, I wouldn’t be playing hard to get either!!

Meet Jeremy:  Not to shabby himself! 😉

Together they equal Jeremy & Lesley, two of the nicest people you will meet, and so obviously in love &  happy together!

We came across this band filming a video in the bush at High Park.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get the name of the band, but they did agree to play us a song while Jeremy & Lesley danced.  This photo is one of my faves from the session…

Jeremy & Lesley found this rooftop spot overlooking the Cityscape.  We travelled there at sunset, but before we got up to the roof, I just had to get some photos in the gorgeous lobby!

I mean, COME ON Lesley, can you be any more stunning!

Then the rooftop, so beautiful…

(have to give a plug to my handy assistant here, my brother Farrel for helping me with lighting, bag carrying and taking orders from me, his younger sister!HA! Finally I got to boss my older brother around!! I’m sure I’ll pay for it somehow, like with a nugie or head lock or something!)

Jeremy & Lesley, every location you chose was perfect.  I had a great time getting to know you, laughing and having fun!  I hope you enjoy your photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Roberto & Leslie – Engagement Photography – Distillery District & Cherry Beach Toronto

Distillery District, Toronto Wedding Photographer, INternational and Destination Weddings

Meet Leslie & Roberto…They met through what can only be described as by Fate.  Ok, well I mean they met the second time through fate.  She was teaching a course.  She spoke no Spanish, he no English.  Roberto definitely caught Leslie’s eye, but the class finished, and that was that.  They went their separate ways.  Then out of what can only be described as “meant to be” they passed each other while both out with friends some nights later.  Not wanting to miss this 2nd chance at love,  they spoke, through an “interpretor” (read…friend!)and they have been together since.  He working on his English, she on her Spanish.  To hear them communicate in each other’s language is awesome.  Knowing that it came out of sheer love makes it all that much more fantastic.

Leslie and Roberto compliment each other so well.  Roberto has a calming charm to him, quiet but strong.  Leslie is more out-going and strong.  I can definitely see how that these two are made for each other.   I am so happy to be photographing their wedding soon at the gorgeous Rosewater Room in Toronto.

I Posted this one on FB as a teaser a while back, but my GOSH!! It’s just so freaking HOT I had to post it again.  Please feel free to fan yourself while viewing this photo! This couple is Hot stuff! Seriously.

We even had some Lollipop fun! 🙂

I added a little bit of a vintage spin to these because these lollipops just make me feel vintagey! (I know, I know, that’s not a word, but it should be!)

Leslie & Roberto, I had so much fun, and CANNOT wait until your wedding day.  Something tells me we are going to have a blast, and Roberto, I promise somehow, someway, we will incorporate  some kind of Football (otherwise known as Soccer) shots, that won’t include giving the ball to your mom! 😉  (Just kidding Roberto’s mom!!)

    Hi
I may be just a wee bit predjudiced, as I am Leslie’s mom, but my favourite photo is of them sitting on the beach. She looks so relaxed and Roberto is his regular easy-going self.
    Nice pictures of them though.
    Thanks for sharing them

I love the look of eagerness in both Roberto and Leslie to learn language. Communication has to be high on the list for a long and loving life together. Keep up the good work.

    Love to you both

  • […] Roberto and Leslie!! They have graced my blog a few times over the past couple of years, both here and here.  It is only befitting that they bless my blog again with news of their pregnancy. […]
