Tamara & Joshua | Kensington Market Engagement Toronto Engagement Photography

Josh and Tamara were true troopers.  As I lead them around Kensington Market in Downtown Toronto,  we chatted and admired the people and ambiance that is Kensington Market.  What a great choice Josh and Tamara made.  They were interested in the different, the eclectic, the people.  So many different little nooks and crannies and hidden gems, primed for photos.  We may all have been extremely hungry, or the food just looks that good down there, but everywhere we went we marveled at the different food selections.  I had never shot at Kensington Market before, so this was a true treat for me.   The city of Toronto is truly amazing.  (Hectic and busy, but amazing!)  Josh and Tamara thank you for choosing this awesome location.

Can’t wait for your upcoming wedding!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – Having Fun with the Helios 44-M-4 Lens

Helios 44_M Lens

(For the photography inclined (ie…geeks), this photo was taken with the Manual Focus Helios 44-M-4 lens.  Love the swirls this lens produces!)

Except it’s not.  Where was this weather in December, when we really need it?!? What’s Christmas without a little bit of snow?! Well it is the birth of Christ, so snow or no snow Christmas rocks.  I was beginning to think we wouldn’t have snow this year, and although I am NOT a fan of snow, it did worry me.  With TV reporters and Radio announcers screaming “Global warming” warnings, it’s hard to get excited about NO snow.  So I prayed for snow, and I’m not saying I caused it, but here it is.  SNOW…and what do you do when there is snow outside?? You take the only members of your family who are willing to be photographed, outside for some fun and frolick in the wintery white cold!

The top photo, that’s Maxie…or as we call her around here, “The Smack!”  She’s giving you “The Smack” brush off, dog-style!

Meet Toby…He hates the cold almost as much as I do.

Here’s Gizmo our winter house guest.  He stays with us while his parents roam around warmer territory (namely Florida).

Admittedly our house is a zoo…but if it weren’t a zoo, who would I have to photograph in the cold months? My kids??!?!? HAHAHA…that almost made me fall of of my chair from how outrageous that sounded!
