Vicky & Huni – Harbourfront Sailing

Sometimes I never know what to expect when I meet client’s at their chosen location for engagement photos.  Vicky & Huni wanted their photos on a sailboat  so I made the trek down to the Queen’s Quay.  Well wouldn’t you know you can actually kayak & canoe on Lake Ontario…WHO KNEW!?!? Wow I live a sheltered existence! LOL  Vicky & Huni most definitely knew, and they opened my eyes to a whole new part of Toronto.  Renting Sailboats and all sorts of things to get on the water and enjoy the Lake.  I’m so thankful for the experience.  We didn’t get a chance to go out on the big sailboat that they wanted, but I definitely had fun nonetheless.  It was definitely an eye opener for me for things I can do in Toronto that I never knew! I think some times I take this great city for granted! But I know what the family and I will be doing at least one day this summer!

But now on to my couple!

(Told you she is beautiful!)

Together they are Huni & Vicky, quirky and oh-so cute together.  I can tell that they bring out the best in each other, smiling and laughing together, the way love should always be!  I believe when Vicky and Huni invited me to capture them at their favourite sailing club, they also gave me a glimpse into their world.  You can tell this is where they belong on a sailboat…Together.  But of course before we hit the high seas we had some on-shore photography to do!

Then it was time to hit the water! It was quite an experience watching Vicky and Huni get the boat ready and Hoist the sail! (See..I’ll be sailing before you know it! I’m working on my sailing lingo!)

Vicky & Huni, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your world for a few hours! 🙂  I love this next photo, I think it so much represents their fun personalities!

Deborah & Stephen – “He’s my Favourite”

Pickering Bluffs Engagement Photo

I have to go back in time and get my hubby to propose to me again! I read my couples engagement stories and I think WOW! Deborah and Stephen’s engagement story is one of those WOW moments.  When a guy can pull off having a group of high school students dress up in your “talked about” wedding colours, sing Akuna Matata and “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire (acapella no-less), and then get the group to drop down on one knee, you know he’s right up there in my book of top people! Stephen, your my kind of guy and Deborah is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, down to earth and so genuine.

Cara & Jeff – Todmorden Mills | Toronto Engagement Session

It’s been a crazy, hectic, busy few weeks! But that’s what wedding season is all about for a Toronto Wedding Photographer, so I really can’t complain! 🙂 In a few weeks I am off to Mexico to vacation as well as work so I’m looking forward to that.  But I’m also here in Toronto photographing some really wonderful couples, whether it be for their engagement sessions or for their wedding.

This day was no different as we ventured out to Todmorden Mills in Toronto.  What a beautiful spot.  There were people catching frogs in the pond, sitting under a tree reading, taking a walk through the old homes/barns, a gardener planting a garden .  We met a couple who were there for the first time going to walk the long trails, asking us if we were going to walk them as well.   Maybe next time.  For on this day we were there to photograph Cara & Jeff.

Meet Jeff: (Cara says about Jeff – “he always calms me down, he knows what I’m thinking before I say it and he’s fun to spend time with”)

Meet Cara: (Jeff says about Cara – “she has a unique, goofy, crazy sense of humour. She always goes with her gut and she is always willing to help others!”)  He left out beautiful, but I think that goes without saying! 🙂

Together they are Cara & Jeff, who will be tying the know, July 2014!

We had a bit of a “contest” with these dandelions.  I think Jeff forgot to compete, or maybe he has learned not to compete with the woman of his dreams…EVER! 😉

Love it! 🙂

Cara & Jeff, thank you so much for the opportunity to photography your engagement session! 🙂
