Kelly & Tanya | The Rouge Pickering Engagement Session

The rampant blogging continues, and this time we have Tanya & Kelly who are having a destination wedding in October!  I keep telling them they really need to bring a photographer with them (ie…ME!) LOL! Shameless plug I know! When they return from their wedding, they will be having a Toronto reception,  and I am honoured to be their chosen photographer!

Kirsten & Travis | U of T Engagement Session

Another fun Toronto Engagement Photography session.  This time with the wonderful Travis & Kirsten.  They are getting married in October and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding.  I am truly blessed with great couples who love to GQ their sessions out! 🙂  We met up at U of T and if you’ve never been there, you really have to go just to walk around.  The history and architecture alone are well worth the trip, take your camera too, because for sure you’ll find something of interest!  Of course I brought my trusty Nikon D3s and my even trustier (not sure if that’s even a word!)  son Brady.  Brady was so enamoured with everything that was U of T which was great for him.

Travis & Kirsten met at U of T so it was only befitting that we have their session their as well.  They walked around pointing out things to us and described the different houses there and how classes worked.   Brady hung on every word, and I was thankful to them for taking the time to explain things to him.  Told you my clients are the best!

Meet beautiful Kirsten:

Kirsten has such a Grace Kelly vibe going on.  I am so hoping she has her hair done similar to this with a beautiful long veil! (Shameless plug for the veil! I’m a huge fan!)

Together they make up Kirsten and Travis, a super sweet couple:

Went a little heavy on the processing of a few of these just because I loved the old world feel to them, and felt they deserved a bit more “dressing”.  What do you think?

Kirsten and Travis, thank you so much for the guided tour of U of T! Can’t wait for your wedding! 🙂

Michelle & Steve | I Am FUNNY!

I am blogging away today as I have been away for a week and the week before that had computer issues! So I’m a bit behind.  You may even see a few more posts today,  so keep on checking and please feel free to leave a comment.

I travelled to Main Street, Unionville, to photograph Michelle & Steve’s engagement session.  They’re getting hitched in August of this year, and I am honoured to be their wedding photographer.  I was referred to Michelle and Steve by Angelica & Jason.  But what an odd thing it was when I flew to Florida to photograph Frank & Tanya’s Destination wedding and Michelle and Steve were there at the wedding.  Talk about 6 degrees of separation.  Unplanned, we were even rooming side by side in Florida.  It really was such a coincidence.  I got to know Steven and Michelle a little bit better in Florida, and by the time their engagement session rolled around I think we were more then comfortable with each other.  I have met their daughter, Violet, a few times now, and I think she’s getting used to me:

Here I think she was telling her parents, “yo, chill, I’m talking to my peeps, Elaine”.

And this photo here, she was soooo excited to see me, she couldn’t wait to give me a hug! (or maybe, just maybe, she could have also spotted her grandparents coming up behind me.  MAYBE! I think it was more me though)

She was definitely blowing me kisses in this one! I swear!

She gave us a whopping millisecond to capture a family portrait (don’t fret, she graciously allowed us a couple more milliseconds to capture a few more!)

Then her grandparents whisked her away for a stroll and some ice cream, and left me alone with these lifeless, unemotional people:

I had Steve in such hysterics (I’m good!)…

I can’t tell you how much fun we had! I don’t even remember all we laughed about, but some of it may have involved turtles and frogs:

Oh yes, Michelle and Steve, I had to put it all out on the internet! 🙂

You guys had me in hysterics the whole shoot and I had such a good time, can’t wait for the wedding to meet all your crazy and wild friends you keep telling me about.  They can’t be any crazier and wilder then you two can they???

I love these next two shots, we were strolling along Main St, and here is Violet’s reaction when she sees me from across the street:  (ok, you caught me, she sees her parents!!)  With the exception of the dog, who else is that excited to see you????

Michelle and Steve thank you so much, I had such a blast and hope you did too!
